Network Security

In my former life, I was responsible for a very huge international, global network and due to the nature of the company, security was top priority. I hired and worked together with many well known security companies and we performed a lot of security assessments.

For this, we did use several tools such as the Metasploit framework, John-the-ripper, Netcat, NMap and some more. Some of these tools were quite expensive but mostly worth the money. However, all had in common that they were difficult to use only by experts.

With NetworkToolbox, my goal was to create an easy to use but even powerful tool that can be used to scan and analyze your corporate network, local private network or even check whether or not to trust a foreign third party network offered in Hotels or other public places (usually you can’t).
